Card Talk takes a a few minutes of your day to discuss the core set card Power in the Earth. It's not awesome by any stretch of the imagination, but it certainly has a place in the card pool. Join Ted and Dave as they discuss where that place is.

You see, they're married so that makes them prime for COUPLES FEBRUARY. They spend time with the guys talking about some of the lore behind the game. But it is a podcast about the game, so, oh yeah, we talk about that too!

COUPLES FEBRUARY!!! Our inaugural episode this February kicks off with the quintessential couple in both the game and the legendarium. Regardless of which hero version of Aragorn you play with Hero Arwen Umdomiel, you probably have the start of a pretty good hero line up that can be flexibly played at any player count or in any scenario.

In this episode, Grant and Dave tackle the core set staple, Feint. This card is probably one of the best, and most simple, cards in the game. It's always effective and always is welcome when a player uses it. After 10 years, this card is still AWESOME!              

In this episode Grant and Dave talk about the Leadership Hero Theodred. Back in the day, he was awesome, adding one resource to a questing hero's resource pool. He could really make or break a deck with that resource manipulation. But, how has he aged?

SPOILER ALERT! The next AP in the Vengeance of Mordor Cycle was just announced late last week. While there were so many amazing and useful cards that were spoiled, one in particular caught the eye of Dave. So here we are, discussing Odo Proudfoot!

We take a trip back to the core set in this episode. Join us as we talk about Eleanor, a hero that can cancel some treachery effects. She also has a low starting threat. But her stats are tough to work with. Maybe we should just stick to using her ability?
