I missed Monday's review due to a migraine so today I'm going to review two mystery apps. One is called Murder in the Alps by Nordcurrent and the other is Small Town Murders by Rovio. Both were very entertaining but both could use some improvements.

Welcome to another week Snoops and Sleuths. Today I'm giving a review of The Thin Man By Dashiell Hammett.

Welcome Snoops and Sleuths to Season 2 of the Cozy Sleuth. In addition to the Monday Reviews and Friday talks, we'll be doing Wednesday interviews. I hope you'll enjoy getting to know some great cozy mystery authors.

Our favorite detectives jobs are as varied as our own. It's one of the things that makes  the cozy such an interesting genre. No matter what, you can find a job or hobby that you as the read can relate to. 

This is the first audio book I've experiences (well other than The Hobbit, but I cant review that here.) and I can definitely see the appeal. Pains and Penalties is the first in the Geeks and Things series and it's such a fun experience.

A show on the Ovation Channel this mystery was a new one for me. set in the 1930's with a pair of lady private detectives. 

My thoughts on this overlooked sub-set of cozy mysteries. With special mention of my favorite book. The Circular Staircase by Mary Roberts Rinehart.    

The Circular Staircase is considered the first in the Had-I-but-known school of thought in detective fiction. And what's that mean? Well you'll have to wait for future episodes to find out. The book was written by Mary Roberts Rinehart and published in 1908. Mary Roberts was considered America's Agatha Christie. 

Of the hundreds of cozies on shelves there's only a handful with men as the protagonist. Why is this?

 She was the main character of 9 Warner Brothers films from the 1930's and always got the upper hand on her detective boyfriend. She was a fast talking, quick witted, and strong willed role model for many a young woman in Pre-World War II.
