Capt. Marty's Outer Banks Fishing Report & Stories

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I sure did and the fishing is doing great. Listen to the latest fishing report for all the details.

In this thriller of a story, Capt. Marty tells about how a scallop boat called the "War Cry", owned by Paul Spencer of Spencer Yachts and his family, hauled up something out of the water they definitely weren't expecting, nor did they want!!!

Breezy conditions made things tough for those trying to go out offshore and just in a boat anywhere, but there were still decent catches all over. A bonus of yesterday was being able to hang out with a good friend who is a pro when it comes to speckled trout fishing, who graciously shared a few tips with me!

A GREAT Memorial Day  weekend of fishing offshore, near shore, inshore and back in the sounds!

Capt. Marty tells us in this story about Lee Perry's mate Jessie, a farmboy from Hertford, NC. Capt. Lee was always giving Jessie a hard time about his weight and one day Jessie decided to pull a fast one on him!!

Fish are still being caught all over! Great catches on all fronts. 

Pretty solid fishing over the weekend!! I'll be reporting this coming week from the docks of the Hatteras Harbor Marina for the Hatteras Village Offshore Open tournament. It's going to be a fantastic week!
