Just before Jesus ascended into heaven he commissioned his followers to go and make disciples of all the nations - this is a great calling! In this talk Gradon (Beach Vineyard Church, Raumati) looks at how Jesus has a great calling for us, great empowering, and a great adventure!

There's a beautiful moment after Jesus' resurrection where he meets seven disciples at the beach and cooks them up a fish BBQ! This was just after the disciples had miraculously caught a massive load of fish (John 21). In this talk, James looks at the two miraculous fishing stories in the gospels, what we can learn about following Jesus and discovering more of God's present dynamic power today.

Jesus' resurrection changes everything. Tim Keller wrote "If Jesus rose from the dead, then you have to accept all he said; if he didn’t rise from the dead, then why worry about any of what he said?" Generosity is powerful and transformative - and flows from the heart of God! In this message James talks about the incredible generosity of God and how we can partner with him and go with the flow of his generosity, bringing light into the darkness.

Going deeper also involves digging deep. In this talk, Rosemary draws from the story (parable) Jesus told in Matthew 13 about the places good seed landed when the sower went out to sow. It's important that we do what we can to receive the good seed, and so that it grows up to bring about the purposes God intends. Digging deep is worth it!

God invites us into relationship with him - prayer is the key way that we connect with him in that relationship. As part of our Going Deeper series, Tessa digs into how we can live lives devoted to prayer.

We're continuing our series on Going Deeper into the life of God - like the trees planted by the riverbanks in Psalm 1. In this message Matt talks about how "delighting in the law of the Lord" also involves doing what God's word says - and that this leads us towards God's intention and purposes for us in our world.

The word delight means "extreme pleasure or satisfaction, joy, or something that gives great pleasure". Going deeper into God, drawing from Him and His life, involves submitting our own ideas of how to live and yielding to His way. In this message, James thinks about how worshipping God with all of ourselves is our purpose and our design, and that is the place of fulfilment and meaning - and life!

One of the most incredible, self-revealing gifts God has given us is the Bible - the scriptures. Through reading the Bible we discover more about God and how to be in relationship with him - it's one of God's gifts for us to go deeper into Him. In this talk, Zoë highlights what the Bible is and isn't and gives us useful tools to engage with the scriptures when it gets tough.
