The Carolina Hurricanes responded to the losses of Vincent Trocheck and Tony DeAngelo by acquiring former Norris Trophy winner Brent Burns from San Jose and Vegas' winger Max Pacioretty. In an "emergency" Morning After podcast, Adam Gold gives his thoughts on Burns, Pacioretty, Kase and why the Hurricanes haven't seemed willing to give to get on the trade front.

The Hurricanes didn't have a 1st round pick. But, that doesn't mean they weren't one of the teams everyone was talking about at the draft last week. They dealt Tony DeAngelo to the Flyers for a trio of draft picks and then they went out and selected a fist full of Russian players.
