It was the 2nd 1-0 shutout in his last 4 starts, having shut out the Devils two weeks ago on 34 shots in an overtime win. Carolina scored twice on the power play and went 4 for 4 on the penalty kill against the 4th best power play in the league. 

The Hurricanes lost at home to the Minnesota Wild, 5-2, Sunday night.  Martin Necas and Michael Bunting scored, but defensive coverage breakdowns led to a pair of Wild goals that proved too much for the Canes to overcome.  Carolina is off until Wednesday when they skate at Boston.
