Campfire Wisdom

Father's Day weekend continues to be the perfect time to get outdoors.  My parents made sure that my siblings and I were exposed to all that Mother Nature had to offer.  For that, I am grateful and I aspire to do the same for my kids.  This is how we camp and I hope that you'll join us somewhere down the line... maybe, on the slackline.

Summer is here! Time to get outside and soak up some stars. Let's wake up together (figuratively) at Table Mountain Campground during the Father's Day Weekend.  There are still plenty of sites available, so have at it. We will be at the site from June 13th through June 15th. Please let me know if you plan on joining us so we can meet up and say hello.  -Greg

The last time I was in Tucson, I sat down with my parents and asked them a few questions about their lives with me. I realize now that these conversations were the start of something special. More to come on that. For now, here is an edit of the chat I had with pops. Enjoy.

Not all of us are lucky enough to have an adult relationship with our parents.  Thankfully, the gods have been kind to me.  On a recent trip to Tucson, I was able to share a morning of reflection with my mother, Brigitte.  I love telling stories... but I love hearing them more.  

Range anxiety is often touted as a major concern when it comes to EV adoption. So, I decided to do some recon on one of my frequent trips to the Old Pueblo (Tucson, AZ). Americans needs the forest more than ever. We need its embrace to disconnect and find one another in nature. When we wake up beneath the stars, we are reborn. The National Parks are our heritage and we have to do all that we can to ensure their perpetuity. The land will heal you.

Welcome back to the fire. Let's talk about my completely subjective opinions on ICE and EV trucks. I know what I like and I like what I know. That being said, I'm open to being completely wrong. I got a few new things going on in this one so let me know what you think. Not a fan of the audio on the Zoom recording... better next time, promise.   I failed to credit my wife for rediscovering the porc...

The beauty of the campfire lies in its ability to generate honesty among friends.  Choosing to hit record risks the sanctity of the moment... but sometimes you get a gem.  This may not be one of them.  

I got stood up... which might be relatable to many of us right now.  In the short run, we are all going to need to be good at making lemonade out of lemons.  This episode was not what I had planned, but you know what they said about best laid plans.    

Making the decision to move forward is the hardest part of the process.  When you do so with purpose, it can make the experience powerful.  Time to chart a new course, leave a few things behind and lean into what is possible.  For the Horde!
