Are you different from the world around you? Often our lives don't look any different from this world. We talk, act, and live like everyone else. In Revelation 17-18, John reminds us about the danger of a distracted life. 

The world is one of the most dangerous distractions believers will face. 1 John 2 commands us to not love the world or the things in the world. Sadly, as sinful beings we are reckless in our love. Listen to Pastor Christian's sermon, "Reckless Love."

The modern Christian is distracted by the things of this world. How can we avoid distraction and maintain a focus on eternity? We must lay aside weights and sin and run with endurance. When we focus on Christ, we gain eternal motivation. Hebrews 12:1-3 lays the foundation for the solution to distraction. 

What is Christmas about? It is not about good feelings, holiday cheer, or even serving others. As we see in Galatians 4, Christmas is actually about Good Friday and Easter. Christmas is about the cross. 

What is the meaning of Christmas? It's not the presents, the trees, or even the special times with family. Christmas is about the Son of God coming to earth as a humble baby to save mankind. 

In a broken and sinful world, it can be easy to lose your focus. However, the church must be focused on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this final sermon from the book of Romans, Pastor Dave challenges us to stay focused.
