As Paul has made boastings and defended his ministry, he then moves into his concern for the Church in Corinth. Desiring to see this Church become more like Jesus and return to the simplicity of the Gospel, Paul expresses now the depth of his heart towards those believers. Going through this passage we see three points: the signs of ministry, sacrifice of ministry, and the seriousness of ministry.

Paul continues to write to the Corinthians and moves from talking about false apostles to the sufferings he went through as an apostle. In this passage Paul brings about the things he can boast about in order to win back the Church and reiterate the simplicity of the Gospel. Pastor Ryan teaches on three things in this passage: Paul's enemies, Paul's qualifications, and Paul's boasting.

After defending his ministry, Paul then continues to speak on the measures he took for the love he had of the Church at Corinth. Paul's jealousy, concern, service, and warning are all apparent in this part of his letter.
