As we finish our study through the book of 1 Samuel, we find the tragic end for the life of Saul and his son Jonathan. David's own sinfulness leads him to a place where he almost has to go to battle against his own people. 1 Samuel doesn't end on a high note, but we are left with the reality of what can happen when sin goes un-checked.

In 1 Samuel 23-25, after spending a great deal of time fleeing, we see David spare the life of Saul when given the chance to take it, only to nearly take the life of a foolish man named Nabal, later on. David is persuaded to change his mind by Nabal's wise wife Abigail. We see the Lord's provision for David, as God takes Nabal's life, and David takes Nabal's wife as his own.

In 1 Samuel 21-22, we see how even David, a man after God's own heart, when faced with some fearful situations, makes stupid choices that end up effecting the lives of other people.

As we wrap up our study of 1 Thessalonians, Pastor Ryan takes a look at the Apostle Paul's closing exhortations in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28. Even 2,000 years later, Paul's words are still very relevant to us as Christians, and there is something there for each of us to glean from.

In 1 Samuel 18-20, we begin to see Saul's sanity unravel, as he becomes jealous of the Spirit of God being with David but no longer himself.
