Jason Stead shares out of Matthew 6:1-18, about what it means to truly worship, and how that is tied into forgiveness. Where fear of man brings a snare, reverencing God is necessary for true worship to occur. Jason highlights the importance of fully giving ourselves to the Lord in order to worship Him completely, and how unforgiveness will cut us off from the Holy Spirit.

Our good friend Stan Mitchell shares a message on "Facing Spiritual Warfare: Be Ready for Battle". He reminds us that we have a very real adversary who seeks our harm, but our God is bigger! Stan also directed the church to put on the full armor of God, daily, because we encounter trials and difficulty every day.

Finishing up Matthew 5, Steve Busch gives a message on "Oaths, Eyes, and Enemies". These last three antitheses are counter-cultural, and Jesus' message still stands against the tide of the world to this day!

A powerful message of forgetting the things which are behind, forgiving those who have hurt you, and forsaking the things which hold us captive! He shared the importance / many purposes of salt: it’s used to add flavor, it’s a healing agent, it can preserve, and it promotes thirst! That brings us to light, and light isn’t something that can be hoarded. If you have light in your life, everyone will be exposed to it.

Our good friend and board member, Pastor John Snoderly, shared with the church out of Genesis 22. He extrapolated on Abraham's willingness and surrender to offer his only son as a sacrifice to the Lord, and how his act of worship is applicable for us today.

When you go through hard times, as Jesus did, that's where ministry begins! Jason Stead explains how those difficulties and trials can be the way the Lord prepares you for a new and different work.

Continuing in the thread of worship, Pastor Lance discusses the slain Lamb of God as the only worthy One to open the scroll and redeem the earth. Pastor Lance highlights how worship of any other thing apart from Jesus is idolatry. In observing the angels and their worship, we see that they are witnesses of God's plan and glory, just as we are witnesses of the same here on earth.

What do you weep for? Pastor Lance examines the destructive state of our world, and notes that it should make believers weep as John did in Revelation 5. But this evil world isn't a new phenomenon, it goes back to Genesis 3, when the devil asked Eve "did God indeed say?". This is the same question and tactic that the enemy uses to this day!

Gabe Jauregui teaches on the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness, out of Matthew 4:1-11. If the devil couldn't tempt Jesus to sin, and we have the same victory in Christ, then we can also remain steadfast in the face of any temptations that come our way!

A good reminder that, whether you have a great relationship with your earthly dad, or never knew him, your Heavenly Father is calling you into a close relationship with Him.

A man who lived a humble life, John the Baptist's honest interaction with Jesus (his cousin, but more importantly, his Messiah) in Matthew 3 is one that should mark our lives as believers.
