Welcome to Calvary Community Church! This week, We’re continuing our sermon series titled Counter Culture. Through the series we’ll be exploring perseverance in a hostile culture. Our youth director Josiah is sharing his message titled “Through The Pressure”.

Pastor Doug explores this section of  Thessalonians and shows us how when we are looking at Christ’s second coming, we too could miss Him if we aren’t prepared for a perspective that is different from what we believe. So, when it comes to “What to expect” it’s best to be prepared for many possibilities and draw close to Christ so that no matter how things play out, you are ready.

when we read the Bible we see that God calls his followers to a high standard of excellence, but as people we are not perfect. Listen as Josiah goes through 1 Thessalonians 3:11-4:12 and breaks it down to discover what it means to pursue God and in doing so pursuing excellence.

The power of the Word of God can transform people's lives when they invite Jesus into the midst of their trials and suffering.

Paul explains he ministered with sincerity and love, not by using flattering words or seeking personal glory. The Thessalonians suffered persecution for their beliefs. The Second Coming brings hope and joy to believers.
