Pastor OJ continues our series on spiritual warfare, describing how to pick up, maintain in good repair, and use our shield of faith to defend ourselves from Satan’s attacks which can come into our lives like flaming deadly arrows.

Pastor Doug and Pastor OJ joined Pastor Nathan following the message on November 8th to discuss Spiritual Warfare.

Pastor Doug talks about how if you have the peace of God in your life, the enemy’s attacks lose their power to harm you. They’re no longer effective when you’re walking in the overwhelming, conquering, and prevailing peace of God that the Gospel shoes of peace provide.

Pastor OJ encourages us to put on and maintain in good repair the invisible spiritual armor that has been provided to us to withstand the attacks of Satan.

Pastor Bev talks about the belt of truth and how it is a key component of our spiritual armor. Wearing the belt of truth equips us to fight the spiritual battle every Christian will experience.

Pastor OJ describes the biblical perspective of the origins of Satan, demons, evil as well as the spiritual war we are in; encouraging us that we can overcome through God’s power and by utilizing the supernatural spiritual resources available to us.

It should remind us to stop and think about those things that Christ freely and lovingly provided for us that many have spent millions in vain trying to purchase. It should cause us to be grateful and stronger when we give thanks together!

Pastor OJ encourages us that the lasting impact in our world will be the outcomes we leave behind; through the people who were touched and transformed by how we intentionally invested our lives.

Pastor Bev talks about how we’re on a journey together as followers of Jesus Christ, encouraging and supporting each other, discovering together the greater purpose and calling of God in our lives, as individuals, and as a church body.

Pastor Doug talks about how the word community means “common unity” and means that a tremendously diverse group of people from all different backgrounds can experience true love and can be stronger together when what they have in common is a love for God and a love for each other.

Pastor OJ describes how Jesus Christ came to break down the dividing walls between us and God as well as the walls between us and others;  thereby restoring the connections we were created for and providing the pathway to true peace in the midst of a divided and chaotic world.

We live in a divided world filled with conflict and division which is robbing us of our full potential as a people. This week in our study in Philippians 2, we will see from the life of Jesus that a life of humility lived out for the service and good of others is a much better way.
