In Acts 12, we see a miracle and a megalomaniac, someone completely full of themself. Herod flexes his power at the beginning of the chapter and by the end, his life ends because he did not give God glory. In the aftermath of God using Peter to open the door of grace and salvation to the Gentiles, Peter tells of what God did and many in Jerusalem understand God is doing something new. The gospel continues to advance and Barnabas, the encourager, seeks out Saul of Tarsus, to help strengthen the growing church in Antioch.

Acts 10 is a pivotal chapter in the book of Acts as well as the early church. God wanted the gospel to go into all the world and here we see the Gospel break into the Gentile world, to those that re non-Jewish. We see the conversion of a centurion named Cornelius but we also see a conversion of Peter, from legalism to grace.

As we look at the end of Chapter 9, we see that the early church had peace in the midst of perfection. We also see Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, come and pray and then receive power to heal a lady that died. We too, can have peace, be in prayer and then have power.

In this study, we see one of the most important, if not the most important, conversion account in history. Saul the pharisee, has an encounter with the risen Jesus which will change his life forever. Every person needs to encounter the risen Jesus and respond as Paul

In Part 2 of Stephen's sermon before the religious leaders of Jerusalem, he shows them how they are just like their forefathers, who always rejected those that God sent them. In Acts 7, we see song Stephen, chosen in the previous chapter to help with administrative duties, now standing in front of the same council that condemned Jesus. He recounts Old Testament history and preaches truth to this group. Ultimately, it will cost him his life.

In this study, we will see the early church deal with a legitimate dispute and how they deal with it. It comes down to calling and priorities.

Acts 5 shows us how God deals with hypocrisy in the early church and how He wanted purity. Then we see more hostility as the Apostles continue to preach and teach with boldness and lastly, we see some good advice given by an unexpected character.

In this study, we see several things that marked the early church. They were people that prayed bold prayers and prayed often and they were generous people. These characteristics should mark us as believers as well.

In this study, we see the first miracle done through the Apostles. It gets people's attention and then Peter uses it as an opportunity to preach the gospel again! The preaching of the gospel must be something that we always do....
