To lose an argument, but retain a friendship, is gain.”― Matshona Dhliwayo A Republican with an Independent Media Platform, Cafecito Break talks to a Democrat Progressive who is currently serving a second term as Brooklyn Borough President about key issues affecting New Yorke...

“You guys are talking to us because we’re in a spaceship really far from Earth, but you’re on a spaceship called Earth that was created to give us a place to live in the universe,” Glover said. “Maybe the distance we are from you makes you think what we’re doing is special, but we’re the same distance from you. And I’m trying to tell you — just trust me — you are special.” He then imparted a deepe...

Are we really having this drama again with Curtis Sliwa and Mayor Zohran Mamdani and some of the GOP over a skit? We should never let differences / ideas separate us to the point where we refuse to listen and work with folks we do not like/ disagree with. This is dangerous. In this episode we talk about No Kings Protests, the chaos in the world that has people feeling overwhelmed with news fatigue...

How did we get here NYC? Those of us who have been keeping a close eye are not surprised… but it still stings. Mayor Mamdani inherited a budget crisis. NYC is broke. While his team has uncovered savings, there are billions still needed. His solutions? Raising taxes on corporations / wealthy New Yorkers and /or raising property taxes. This also includes dipping into reserves. The reactions witnesse...

The NFL half time show has not been in alignment with its audience for many years. They seem to be following the money and seeking to attract more of an international audience, which is probably one of the reasons Bad Bunny, who is a bigger artist than Taylor Swift was selected for the Half time show performance. The Right’s continuous child-like racist bashing of Bad Bunny was disappointing. Thei...

Live your music Everything that happens is for a reason. I’ve been writing songs since I was five years old. And I always wanted to be on stage. But my path took me to be behind the scenes at MTV. And at the high points of my career, I found myself in MTV, co-producing MTV Cribs, feeling jealous because I was in a studio apartment. And then one day Cribs had a baby and it was teen Cribs. And I saw...

Who would have thought that we would wake up this past weekend to the news that Nicolas Maduro was captured and brought to a Brooklyn jail in NYC. Once again another reason for people to fight and bicker. And that is exactly what we have been witnessing. At this time, we are encouraging more listening, learning and asking questions which is why we invited Oscar El Blue, an international journalist...

Take a listen to this eerie conversation. RA, Kozi and Mark share reports on Digital ID, more surveillance, the push for gun control and the eerie expectation for more mass shootings which happened again last weekend. While there is a continued push to disarm society, criminals seem to always get their hands on guns to create chaos, which then inspire Governments to utilize tools of mass tracking,...

Hello fam… Perhaps it is time we all take a moment to self reflect and analyze if we are building bridges or tearing them down with our human to human relations. In a world of fast tracking and tracing, mass surveillance, digital ID’s, and AI taking many human tasks over… It is becoming increasingly NECESSARY to hold on to your humanity … all of it.
