How should we as Christians respond to the racial tensions that exist in this country? We examine the truth of Scripture together and use discernment to help us form a biblical worldview in which we denounce racism, affirm the dignity of all mankind, love God and love others, and preach the Gospel as we stand up for the oppressed.

God created us to be in relationship with others and while that desire is a good thing, we need to first find our identity in Christ, not those relationships. Armed with that understanding, we look at the fact that God created sex as a good thing within the institution of marriage, which is a covenant relationship for the glory of God.

The Gospel of John ends with a focus on restoration and reconciliation. Peter pursues reconciliation and Jesus restores Peter, showing that God takes people who are a mess and forgives them and changes them. But once we have been restored, can we commit to following Jesus with a renewed faithfulness?
