Before I rocked up, Shane’o had spent 6 months and 3 weeks caretaking the Mt Hart Wilderness Lodge in the King Leopold Ranges on the Gibb River Road on his own. So much happens in a Kimberley Wet season of isolation. The place is alive! Be sure to stick this one out to the end, it’s one of Scotty’s favourites in the Bush Yarns series so far. When Toddy went for an arvo fish for some Barra he never expected to spend nearly 30 mins in the mouth of a hungry croc. 2 legs and an index finger were on the menu for “Kev” the Croc.
