THE NECESSITY OF GOD'S LAW 22.09.2025

Continuing our Reflections on Psalm 19, we begin the second part: God's Revelation in Scripture.  This all-important theme appears throught the Bible, as it should  As always, I hope it's a blessing.

THE SUN REVEALS THE SON 15.09.2025

We continue our Reflections on Psalm 19, learning how even our natural world reveals our Creator and Redeemer to us!  I trust it's a blessing!

THE HEAVENS DECLARE, PART 2 08.09.2025

In our last Reflection we focused on Psalm 19 verse 1.  This time we'll look at the first 3 verses together.  Let's let our understanding and perception of our Creator and Redeemer be broadened and deepened by His Word.

THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD 01.09.2025

We begin Reflecting on Psalm 19, and we don't get any further than the Truth-packed first verse!  As always, I hope it's a blessing.

THE HERITAGE OF FAITH 25.08.2025

Continuing Genesis 13, we see Lot's foolish and selfish choice, and how God blessed Abram!  I don't know where the "underwater" effect came from, and I hope it's not distracting.  Blessings, listeners!

WHEN UNITY MEANS SEPARATION 18.08.2025

Continuing through Genesis, we see through the separation of Abram from Lot that there are times when separation is not only the best way to maintain unity, but is actually God's will.  May you be comforted and blessed by God's Word!

CALLING ON THENAME OF THE LORD 04.08.2025

After a long hiatus, we return to the Book of Genesis.  We pick up where we left off, Abram's return to Canaan after his sojourn in Egypt.  In this God-breathed text, we find some valuable lessons for life in the 21st century!  As always, I hope it's a blessing!

PSALM 18 CONCLUSION 28.07.2025

It took 14 Reflections to cover all of Psalm 18, but we finally did it.  This one completes the Reflecting and then reviews the entire Psalm.  As always, I hope it's a blessing!

VENGEANCE BELONGS TO OUR PRAISEWORTHY GOD 21.07.2025

Nearing the end of Psalm 18, this Reflection focuses on the exhortation to leave "getting even" with God, and just how praiseworthy He is.  How much true content does our prainsing the Lord contain?  As always, I hope it's a blessing.

GOD'S VICTORIES 14.07.2025

Contiinuing our Reflections on Psalm 18, we see how David gave God the credit for all his victories, making them God's rather than his.  This was written as an example to us: are we doing the same thing, or are we taking credit for God's victories?

OUR WARFARE 04.07.2025

In Psalm 19, verses 37 through 42, the Holy Spirit inspired David to write about his natural enemies.  But the principles also apply to our spiritual enemies today!

MY HIGH PLACES 09.06.2025

Continuing our Reflections on Psalm 18, we come to what may be the most well-known portion of it.  But because it's well-known, that doesn't mean it's well understood.  I make no claims to exclusive truth, but I do think we need to continually question our presuppositions when we approach God's Word.  As always, I hoe this one is a blessing!

GOD ENLIGHTENS OUR DARKNESS 02.06.2025

Continuing our Reflections on Psalm 18, we notice how only God can bring His light into our lives.  We need to trust Him for everything.  And, of course, we CAN trust Him for everything!  As always, I hope it's a blessing!

FACING OUR ENEMIES 27.05.2025

Continuing our Reflections on Psalm 18, we join David as he gets real about his circumstances in God's presence.  Let's put away our religious facades and be real as well in His presence so that His responses will be just as real!

WHEN GOD REBUKES 19.05.2025

We continue Reflecting on Psalm 18.  I know this kind of title doesn't get many downloads, but I'm committed to not skipping anything in God's Word.  Also, it's ablessing to see how often God rebukes ON OUR BEHALF, as well as seeing His reasons for rebuking us.  May we find comfort and encouragement in this portion of Scripture.

WHEN GOD RESPONDS 12.05.2025

Continuing our Reflections on Psalm 18, we consider the God-breathed poetic description of God's response to the prayers of His people.  As always, I hope it's a blessing!

THE PANGS OF DEATH 05.05.2025

Continuing our Reflections on Psalm 18, we look at a time when not only David, but all of us definitely "cry out to God".  Let's stop feeling guilty and hiding our struggles.  Then we can take them to the Lord honestly.  As always, I hope it's a blessing.

OUR REFUGE, SHIELD AND STRENGTH 28.04.2025

We continue our Reflections on Psalm 18.  I don't know how the beginning got chopped off, and I apologize.  The day's schedule keeps me from doing it again & I don't have tech support.  But I hope it's a blessing in spite of the abrupt start.

GOD THE ROCK 22.04.2025

WE continue our Reflections on the great Psalm 18, this time focusing on one of the titles David gives God: the Rock.  We show how this image permeates the entire Bible and is practical for us today.  God bless you as you listen!  (PS: I left one blooper in.  Let me know if you find it!)

LOVING THE LORD 14.04.2025

We now move from the introduction to Psalm 18 to the first verse.  David obviously loved the Lord, and that says a lot to us today!  As always, I hope it's a full blessing.

SERVANT OF GOD 07.04.2025

Today we begin to Reflect on Psalm 18, a long, Messianic Song also recorded in Second Samuel 22.  This Reflection won't get past the introduction, which calls David "the servant of the Lord".  And he's in excellent company with that title!  Are we?  As always, I hope it's a blessing.

HOW TO "BE PERFECT" 31.03.2025

This concludes our Reflections on the fifth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, and the first third of the Kingdom Manifesto, commonly called "the Sermon on the Mount."  This ends with Jesus saying, "Therefore be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."   How could we ever do that?!?  Well, I hope this Reflection offers insight, faith and determination.  As always, I hope it's a blessing....

EYES, TEETH, CHEEKS AND MILES 24.03.2025

Still in Matthew 5, we now Reflect on these very difficult words of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I know some wish I'd skip these parts, but since "ALL Scripture is God-breathed, and profitable..." (from 2 Tim. 3:16), I'm determined to not skip over anything.  And since it's God's Word, I have confidence that it will be a blessing to all who "have ears to hear."

SWEARING VERSUS SIMPLE TRUTHFULNESS 19.03.2025

We continue our Reflecitons on Matthew chapter 5, we arrive at something most people ignore, even in churches.  Our truthfulness should be assumed by those who know us.  As always, I truth the words of Jesus Christ Himself here are a blessing!

DIVORCE, REMARRIAGE, MERCY AND GRACE 10.03.2025

Continuing our Reflections on Matthew 5, we come to the difficult owrds of Jesus in verses 31 and 32.  Thanksfully, that's not all that God's Word has to say on the subject.  Let's be convicted so we can repent, and healed so we can be an instrument of healing for others.
