God finishes with Satan and we're introduced to Job's 3 "friends".  I call them that reluctantly, only because the Bible does.  I'm glad my friends have not responded to my pain the way they did!

Reflections has come of age; the 21st has just been published!  Here we begin Job chapter 2.  It includes an insight into Satanic strategies.  Also, we examine the difference between "flesh and bones" and "flesh and blood" in the Bible.

Continuing Job chapter 1: Satan's answer to God & his complaint about the "hedge of protection".  Do we also have one? Why would God give Satan permission to attack His servant? Satan "went out from the presence of the LORD".  Can we?  How can we when He's omnipresent? Job's misfortunes begin. The Book of Job is included in Scripture for a reason, and God intends for us to profit from it.  

Continuing chapter 1 of Job...who are the "sons of God"?  Just WHERE did they "present themselves before the LORD"?  And what does Satan's presence there mean for us?  Finally, when God said, "Have you considered My servant Job?" was He setting Job up, or was something else behind that question?  I hope it's a blessing!

The Book of Job was probably the first Book of the Bible to be written.  With the deep things discussed here, no mention is made of any documents, even the Torah.  I introduce the Book with my reasons for believing it's historical; it happened to a real person in a real place.  And I consider a possibility about an open door he might have left to the trials...without, I hope, condemnation for him...

Here I conclude my Reflections on the Second Psalm.  I try to explain why I DON'T believe verse 8 refers to Christian missions (though I heartily support missions), the significance of the "Potter's vessel" image, and why God's mercy does not make Him all-forgiving.  I love the Psalm's conclusion: "Blessed are ALL those who put their trust in Him." (emphasis mine).  I hope it's a blessing; please...

Here I begin Reflecting on the Second Psalm, unique among all the Messianic Psalms.  For one thing, it's unique in the way it's referred to in the New Testament.  It also gives us a little peek into the Eternal Councils of the Godhead, as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit each shares something.  And, needless to say, it's "God-breathed" and therefore "profitable".  Please let me know your thoughts!

Here I begin to Reflect on the sixth day of Creation Week, where Creation is climaxed.  We look briefly at the animal kingdom and then at humanity.  What kind of "dominion" did we originally have?  And I note how the evidence for God's Tri-unity continues right here in the first chapter of the Bible.  I hope it's a blessing!

Here I Reflect on the fifth day of Creation Week, where the word "create" is used for the first time since the first day. God creates first aquatic, and then avian, life! Does that have any significance for us today? I'm convinced it does.

Here's where I actually get past Genesis 1:1!  Please excuse the reference to a Wednesday night Bible study; that's not happening these days (unless you listen to this on Wednesday night, I guess). There are many different positions about this passage.  This is just mine.  Hope it's a blessing!

Here I start Reflecting on the first chapter of Genesis...and you might get an idea of WHY I keep these as short as I do.  This chapter is so loaded, we'll be here a while.  I trust these are blessing you half as much as studying up and speaking them blessed me.  It forces me to dig a little deeper than I do devotionally, and I'm blessed!
