Bunnahabhain 12ur Unpeated Review (WWR #199) 18.09.2024 13:44
Bunnahabhain is a single malt scotch from the island of Islay. Even though Islay is traditionally known for it's high peat content, Bunnahabhain created a 12 year product that is unpeated. Does this change what it means to be an Islay whisky? Should they add a little peat so it differentiates itself form Speyside? Check out the video to hear the full review! Thank you to our Sponsor Addys W...

Taconic Distillery Straight Bourbon Review (WWR 197) 28.08.2024 14:48
Taconic is a distillery located in the Hudson Valley Region of New York State. Falling right in the tail end of the barometric pattern, this distillery always brings out some delicious and delicate but robust flavors that have you putting Kentucky to the side and sipping on something local. Oban Distillers Edition Scotch Whisky Review (WWR #196) 21.08.2024 15:43
Oban took a risk, they aged their whisky in a barrel that once housed a Spanish Fortified Wine called Montilla Fino. This white fortified wine added some interesting characteristics that were similar to Oban's normal 14 yr, but turned the volume up to 100%. Do you like when secondary maturation adds to the whisky, or exemplifies already present notes? Let us know in the comments below. Check o...
Old Forester Single Barrel Review (WWR #195) 14.08.2024 17:47
Kentucky Bourbon Review! Kentucky Bourbon Review!! See, no one cares. BUT IN FACT, this is a single barrel so you should care. Kentucky Bourbon is a delicate topic with us. We want to appreciate the history of whiskey in America but at the same time acknowledge that there's so many better options outside of Kentucky. That is, unless you get a Single Barrel. Single Barrels help showcase what&#...
Yellow Spot Whiskey Review (WWR #194) 07.08.2024 14:05
Yellow Spot is the older, more astute uncle of Green Spot. I imagine his house lined with mahogany paneling and leather bound books. A completely different experience tasting a more mature Irish Whiskey, to the point where you get confused during the first sniff. It's a great experience, Check out the video to hear the full review! Thank you to our Sponsor Addys Wine and Liquor. If you are...
Caol Ila 12 Whisky Review (WWR #193) 17.07.2024 17:56
Caol Ila is one of those distilleries located in Scotland that has a very small but very diehard fan base. Caol Ila is known for being the 'peaty' element in Johnny Walker, but it's so much more than that. The flavors that they have created in this distillery stand out against other Islay Whisky, and can be worthy for multiple sips. Have you had this before? Check out the video to hear...
Nick Offerman's Worst Lagavulin (WWR #192) 26.06.2024 14:58
Lagavulin is a peaty, yet gentle scotch. It's the more mature one when compared to it's neighbors (Laphroaig & Ardbeg). Nick Offerman worked with Lagavulin to age their whiskey in a Caribbean Rum Cask, and it just didn't work in our opinion. Have you had this before? Check out the video to find out! Thank you to our Sponsor Addys Wine and Liquor. If you are in the market for a ne...
