Judah's deception comes full circle and his hypocrisy is evident.

Judah sees the death of his son Onan after he displeases God. After this his daughter dies and he is comforted in the presence of his friend Hirah the Adullamite. The scripture I referenced is is Galatians 5:9 " A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump"

These are open thoughts not necessarily a study but something I've seen during this wintery weather. Now I know and understand some of you will disagree 100%, I have no problem with that I only ask that you disagree with out anger if you choose to respond or rebut.

We see the grief of Israel over what he perceives as the loss of his son, and the trial of Josephs faith at the hands of his own brethren.

Joseph is set apart in Israels affection, and his brothers envy swells up.

I have notice this misconception that peace some how means we just agree with everything done and said. This Idea is not biblical we are to be peaceable while standing on truth, more times then not this will put you at variance with others for the gospel sake. There are two extreme views in the one view I have to be against everyone who isn't saved for the sake of being contrarian, on the other ex...

We see more fall out from the decisions made by Israel through out his life playing out in the actions of his children, and Rachel dies in child birth.

Jacob is blessed of God in the midst of his sons transgressions and family drama.

Jacob allowed things to slip amongst his camp and  is sent back to the place where he vowed his vow to God.

We see the problem Jacob had with deception show up in his sons at the worse time, and he is grieved by their actions.

Duality:1. that which expresses two in number 2. Division; seperation 3. The state or quality of being two. There is a war that starts when a person believes the gospel before that we are all singular in focus, after that our attention shift to God with the flesh ever present. We can see this in the lives of the people we read about in the book of Genesis.

Israel shows signs of true Godly repentance after his name is changed. 

We have no promise that everything will go how we want but God will definitely supply our needs this we can bank on.

Who was Jacob wrestling with I will not proclaim  I have this nailed down but these are some of the things people say.

There is no doubt fear is ever present among and around us but does God not have all power. Of course  God does have all power thus I will trust him and not the outcomes of my fear and doubt.

Jacob leaves laban on Gods authority and is afraid of what is ahead.

Idolatry is rampant just as it was in the Old Testament, the problem is we can not see that we have made ourselves the idol. It is no longer the carved wood or fashioned golden or silver representation of earthly things. Not that these ancient forms of idolatry aren't still prevalent. Now we worship "our Achievements, looks, wealth, and status" as though we are the originator of blessings.

Jacob takes his flight back to the land of promise and laban seeks to deceive him yet again.

I do hear people who lean more conservative talk about the principles of personal responsibility. For the christians on both right, left, center, libertarian and whatever other political leaning when will we acknowledge our part individually. When will we accept our part which is the biggest part in the state of our city, town, sate, country, and the world.

Two men Jacob and laban who struggle with the same thing deception, the Difference between the two men isn't anything in themselves but is in fact God. I misspoke in the video Jacob was to take the spotted and speckled cattle.
