In the 2nd week of our Dwell series, Reach’s Youth Lead Jon preaches a message from Psalm 1 discussing delighting in God’s instruction and meditating on God’s word. In this message, we discuss how the vehicle to delight in God's instructions is meditating on God's word. Jon also discusses the difference between mindfulness, mental health, and meditation on God’s word.

God’s Word reveals who God is. Scripture should be something we interact with on a regular basis, not just at church or Bible study. By prioritizing consistent time in God’s Word, the believer can be transformed by God’s love.

On Move-Up Sunday, Youth Lead Jon continues in our study of Jesus’ parables. In Matthew 13:44-46 we wrestle with two interpretations that offer one simple truth: Jesus' value system is different than our value system. Through this message, we discover how both interpretations highlight Jesus' different value system and call for a reorientation of the heart.

In this sermon Pastor Andrew focuses on the parables of the mustard seed and the leaven. He draws us to consider these parables in the context of the Kingdom of Heaven. They discuss the tension between human expectations of the Kingdom and the different features Jesus presents.

Pastor Sean discusses the parable of the wheat and the weeds from Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43. The parable highlights the coexistence of believers and unbelievers in the world and the church, emphasizing the role of Christians to live faithfully while trusting in God's plan for the final judgement and restoration at the end of the age.

Pastor Andrew kick off Matthew 13, a passage filled with parables! In this passage Jesus encounters crowds full of followers, seekers and enemies. Jesus will teach them heavenly truths veiled through story and confront each group present and how they receive the word of God!

While a call to attach yourself to Jesus may not seem freeing, it is the only way to receive freedom and requires us to unyoke ourselves to many other things in our lives. Pastor Andrew helps us understand Jesus' words through Matthew 11:20-30 and helps us understand how we can yoke ourselves to Jesus.

If you have ever doubted taking Jesus at his word, you're in good company, John the Baptist had a moment where he doubted Jesus. In this teaching, Pastor Sean preaches out of Matthew 11:1-19 and helps build a healthy and Jesus-centered perspective about the doubts we experience in our faith as we follow Jesus.

Pastor Sean continues Our Matthew series in "The Burden is Light", with an encouraging word on the global church's experience with persecution through history and in the present, and how we as Christians in the West are to carry out the mission of spreading the gospel.

Pastor Sean closes our Kingdom People series by teaching on Jesus' parable of the servants and the master's talents. Here we learn from God's heart for us to be good stewards over everything we are entrusted with.
