God’s desire for your life is to produce fruit. The single most defining attribute of an abiding life, is the result of fruit. It’s not in your striving that fruit is produced. It’s in your abiding. Pruning is a natural process in which branches are able to produce more fruit. Nothing is off limits. On the other side is a deeper intimacy with him. Abiding is hard, but it’s worth it.
