In the name of tolerance, people are being allowed to live in sin without being confronted in love.

Role models are everywhere - from athletes to actors, but for the Christian, a role model should be someone with consistency in their life – the kind of person who is the same on Sunday morning as they are throughout the week. And it's important that they resemble Christ! Today we'll see the difference between talk and action and be encouraged to practice what we preach.

The Corinthian church was divided into cliques based on who their favorite teacher was. Some liked Paul, some liked Apollos, and so on. But Paul pointed out that each preacher was simply a humble servant of the Lord, and that the messenger is not greater than the message. As we begin today's study, ask yourself why you attend your particular church. Is it because of the message or the messenger?

Paul encouraged the believers in Corinth to examine their hearts and see if they were really living the way God desired them to. This serves as an example for us today as well. Each day God presents us with opportunities that challenge us to do what is godly. How will we respond?
