On today's program, we'll open our Bibles to Exodus chapter thirteen, for a study that once again reminds us that there's no greater protection to be found in this world than the protective arms of God. As God lead the Israelites out of Egypt, He showed them the way in a clear and distinct manner.

George Barna once said, "A good leader is one who is able to motivate people; one who is capable of making good decisions, even under pressure or in conditions of uncertainty; one who can guide people through actions as well as words." As we'll discover today, That was certainly true of a great man in the Old testament named Moses.

In the book of Exodus, we've been discovering the meanings behind some of the Jewish traditions of the Old Testament. You may be asking yourself what all this has to do with being a Christian in the twenty-first century. As we're about to see on today's broadcast, it's a whole lot more relevant to today than you may think.  

Without a doubt the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the defining moment in human history, because our redemption from sin, and our road to Heaven was paved by that one event. This miraculous event was foretold many times in the Old Testament, including in Exodus. Open your Bible with us to Exodus chapter twelve as we join pastor Lloyd.

As we return to our study in Exodus, we'll again look at the trials and tribulations of Pharaoh. I hate to keep knocking a guy when he's down, but Pharaoh is a special case. What a knuckle head this guy was! In the wake of untold death and destruction - because of his hard hearted attitude - he still refuses to acknowledge God's power and Holiness. Talk about a guy stuck in denial-mode! Unfortunat...

In God's word, we see example after example of hardheaded people, and without exception, this attitude leads to problems - and sometimes disaster. Pharaoh was a guy with a hard head and hard heart and we see the consequences of his bad attitude in Exodus chapters ten and eleven.

We've seen Moses confronting Pharaoh, we've seen Pharaoh hardening his heart toward God, and today, we'll see what happens when God sends plagues upon the earth. I think you'll agree after hearing today's message that God is true to His word, and He doesn't like being disrespected! Join us in Exodus eight, verse twenty nine.

When someone turns their heart toward God, it's cause for rejoicing. But what happens when someone hardens their heart toward God? That's exactly what happened to Pharaoh and we'll discuss it on today's edition of Bridging the Gap.

As we study chapter seven of Exodus we observe an individual who refused to submit to God, in spite of the great consequences.   In Christian circles, we refer to this as a hard heart, and certainly Pharaoh had one.  

Today on Bridging the Gap, pastor Lloyd brings us a study in Exodus chapters six and seven, as we look at another battle going on - the battle for deliverance by Moses and the people of Israel. It's here that we see the power of God displayed in the form of Plagues. And oh boy, are these plagues bad!

Moses had his hands full as he sought to deliver his people out of Egypt, and at the same time, we have our hands full as we seek deliverance from our sin. Both battles need God's hand to be successful. We really can't do it alone.  That's a lesson everyone eventually learns, although some take a lot longer to figure it out than others!  

As Christians - we are called to face these battles by relying on the Lord and His Strength. One of the greatest examples of this was Moses facing Pharaoh. Today on Bridging the Gap - Pastor Lloyd Pulley will offer us some pointers which will really be beneficial for times of spiritual warfare. The basis of our study is found in Exodus chapters five and six.

As we continue our new series in Exodus, titled "Deliverance", we will again look at the life and times of one of the great men in the Bible - Moses. Talk about some heavy responsibilities! An entire nation's future put into the hands of one man! But Moses was a humble and Godly man who knew that it was God - working through him - who was really doing the delivering.

Today we'll again open our Bibles to the book of Exodus, as we enjoy a brand new series from Lloyd called "Deliverance". As we look at chapter four, we'll see just what God can do when He flexes His mighty muscle. It can be a good thing or a bad thing - depending of course on whether you're on God's side or not!  

Today Lloyd brings us another message in his brand new series in the book of Exodus, titled "Deliverance". Here in the early chapters of this wonderful book, we get to know one of the great men in the Bible - a man named Moses. As great a leader as he was, he had a problem common to many Christians today. God called him, and he said "Why me, God?"   Ever been there?

Today on the program, Lloyd will look at the life of Moses - a man with a tremendous task on his hands. Of course, before God could work in Moses' life, Moses needed an attitude adjustment!   Maybe that's what you're in need of today?

As we head over to the Book of Exodus, Pharaoh is condemning the Jewish people to slavery and bondage in Egypt. He did so out of fear that the Jews   would grow to be too strong and rebel against Egypt. His plan, which included an order to kill all of the Jewish newborn boys, eventually backfired. Pastor Lloyd Pulley sees this as an example of how God's will cannot be thwarted.

We're going to head into Exodus today in a series Lloyd has titled "Deliverance". Of course this is the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt, but it's also a story of personal deliverance. Before Moses could lead his people,   God first needed to prepare Moses for this incredible task.

There are a lot of things to be worried about right now. But Lloyd will remind us again today that having an attitude of worry is basically telling God that you don't trust Him. Harsh? There are many things to be worried about right now. The economy. Racial tension. The increase in violent crime. Pastor Lloyd will begin today's message with a look at a section of the sermon on the mount, in Matthew six, but he will also talk about a very familiar scene in which Jesus came to visit a pair of sisters named Mary and Martha.

Today, Pastor Lloyd will share some ways that we can fight the battle against the forces of evil and come out victorious. Every victorious team has a game plan, and so it is with our battle against satan - we need a game plan and we need to stick to it!  

Who do you think you are? Now, we have all probably been asked that question with a little anger behind it, but actually, I'm asking you that important question as it pertains to your standing in the kingdom of God. He sent His son to die for us. That should tell us how much God values each of us. Our scripture for today is the second chapter of First John.
