Fasting is an activity that has been around for thousands of years. For the Christians - it has many valuable effects. Lloyd Pulley will remind us today that one of the keys to fasting is doing it for the right reason. When someone hurts us, it's only natural for us to seek revenge. That's the problem - it's our human nature that prevents us from forgiving others! So how can we change that process and be forgiving? So often we find ourselves trying to sway God towards our will, which in turn limits God's working in our lives. Many helpful books have been written on the subject of prayer in response to the question, "how should I pray?" But, we need look no further than God's Word for the most insightful direction. The Lord Jesus provides the answer to that question in His great Sermon on the Mount, and that's what we'll examine all this week on Bridging the Gap.

  What should be our attitude about prayer? Well, if we are honest, we sometimes relegate prayer to the bottom of our priority list, when it actually should always be number one.
