Why is important to know that your identity is hidden in Christ

What if it seems like God hasn't answered your prayer? Do we stop praying? Or is there a deeper response?

We are a few weeks away from a huge election and we (the church) need to get a grip. Christ must be Lord of our political views… the Gospel, not political power, is the Father’s primary means of dealing with the world’s problems.

The word "abide" basically means "to remain." Every Christian need to remain inseparably linked to Christ in all areas of life.

Is there blessings in Hardships?

I do prefer the blessings I can easily recognize. To trust in something that seems bad but later turns out to be good for us might leave us confused and unsure of God’s heart. Yet, it’s this tension… between moments of conflict/trial/hardship and the outcome where many blessings are discovered and revealed… along with the condition our heart towards God.

The struggle to accept God as father is real for many. Many earthly fathers fail their children and those who are good dads by human standards are not perfect. However, these men are not a true reflection of who God is as Father.

Psychiatrists know that keeping family secrets are harmful, in one study I read that hidden secrets can break down relationships, causing can cause suspicion and resentment. But God is saying…with me… there are No Family Secrets because I make myself known.

Knowing God is the key to understanding spiritual blessings….knowing God IS the blessing that leads to walking a blessed life.

Spiritual blessings are not ones we can manufacture for ourselves…these are blessings that are not humanly possible…we can’t make them happen. They are divine, God given, His Spirit imparts then into ours because of what Christ did for us.

We all want to live under blessings…we pray for blessing, hope for them. We want our health, our finances, and our relationships all to be blessed. What happens when life falls short of that ideal?
