There are those who do the work and there are those who critique and criticize. But who are the critics? Do you remember the names of the critics through history or do you remember the names of those who accomplished things? The Finnish composer, John Sibelius remarked "Remember, a statue has never been set up in honor of a critic."

Isaiah the prophet tells Hezekiah(Isaiah 39) that calamity and judgment will not come in his lifetime. This pleases Hezekiah who says this word is good.

The psalmist says that his delight is in the word of the Lord. We, too, should read and meditate on God's word.

Exodus 20:7 admonishes us not to take the name of God in vain. Could there be a more expanded definition of what it means to take God's name in vain?

Saul, the hunter, pursues believers in Christ and then finds himself to be the hunted.

Years ago, in our church fellowship, there was a Christian gentleman who closed all of his public prayers with Psalm 19:14. I still hear his words as he quotes the psalmist. The words continue to echo in my soul.

We can only see so far in this life. We see in part, but God sees the whole picture. When He gives us a signal, it is wise to obey it. (2 Peter 1:9)

There are two types of atheists: those who are professing atheists that would suggest that there is no God or deity and those who say that believe in God, but live as if He doesn't exist.

God speaks His message in such a way that it gets to us. There are examples of Him double addressing some as recorded in the New Testament. (Matthew 23:37; Luke 10:41-42; Acts 9:4)

The heavens declare the glory of God. Do you see and observe? Are you in awe of God and His creation? Psalm 19:11
