C-Lo has a story about Sean Payton wanting to bring in Bill Belichick as head coach until he broke Don Shula’s record, then Payton would take over again. The Yankees beat the Rays on only three hits. Cam Schlitter pitched an impressive eight innings. The Mets beat the Braves as Torrens had the go ahead winning double in extras. Belgium eliminated the U.S. from the World Cup.

Why not a little football today - American football. Video emerged of Jaxson Dart throwing a football off a boat to a guy on a jet ski. The Geno Smith off the field situation seems to have died down. We talked about Frank Reich joining the Jets and how that will be great for Aaron Glenn.

C-Lo has Dave Sims on the call as Caballero hit one of his two home runs yesterday. Juan Soto hit a 2 out HR in the ninth to give the Mets the lead over the Braves.

We talked about the lack of Yankees offense lately and discussed whether the return of Aaron Judge from the IL be enough to give them the boost to the post-season.

The hour begins with Jerry having watched an old Bengals-Steelers Monday night game and Boomer helps break down how they won it. C-Lo has the tough job of telling us again how the Mets are awful and the Yankees are sliding, mixed in with Boomer & Jerry's comments about the teams and lollipops and such.

We spend most of the start of the hour talking about LeBron James and where he might end up and who'd want him there. C-Lo pops in to give us some Boone audio regarding Yanks. The intern gets put in the spotlight by Boomer because that's what Boomer does. There's even some golf talk featuring the Senior Open which took place this past weekend.

Yeah, we know that New York baseball is in a doldrum right now with the Mets in the dumper and Yankees lollipopping their way through games. Hey, we gotta talk about it and be pissed off.

Specifically, an old MNF Bengals-Steelers game with QB Boomer Esiason. It was an exciting game full of great plays which Boomer breaks down for Jerry and us.

C-Lo starts with the Yanks and they just don't look good at all. Boomer somewhat blames the players' attitudes. We touch on the Mets and whatever with them this year. Finally, England beats World Cup co-host Mexico and the Brits are happy.

Boomer's got some ideas about what the Mets should do to at least move forward for the future. Some of the remedies include trading players some might imagine untradeable.
