Bobby Finn Knows Everyone

Bobby and Tom get infiltrated by fellow Pulltab Sports podcasters in a surprise visit. The crew talks about what types of weather makes you want to drink, odd sports records, World Cup soccer and then try to decide whether Beth Dutton from Yellowstone is hot or not.

The guys welcome Minnesota hockey legend, Winny Brodt-Brown. A pioneer of girls high school hockey, she became Minnesota’s first Ms. Hockey, an NCAA champion and a professional player. Winny goes in-depth about her career, playing against boys in high school and she gives us one more reason to hate east-coast hockey. All that plus, Winny hints at starting her own podcast.

The guys welcome two guests, Gopher Hockey alumni, Danny Irmen and fellow east-sider and Muddy Cow exec, Alan “Digs” Sargent. The guys fan-boy over Danny as he dishes the dirt on Gopher Hockey, Don Lucia, and even opens a vein about the off-limits subject of Holy Cross. Plus what’s your favorite Muddy Cow appetizer, Gopher hockey jersey, and Phil Kessel story?

The craziness that unfolded with Tennessee vs Alabama makes the guys wonder where the Minnesota Mason/Dixon line would be. Plus, the Vikes are lucky, the Wild are scary and is there such a thing as a balk in the MLB anymore? All that and apparently Edina kids can’t handle the One Chip Challenge, but neither can Bobby who had to shower his butt after eating a hot pepper.

Restaurant owner and fellow east-sider, Dave Voss joins the podcast. The crew talks about having the yips, the Twins end of year yips and the Vikings pulling a win out of their butts. And speaking of butts, Bobby shares his story about streaking in Chicago.

Bobby knows Ryan Naatjes and he joins the podcast to discuss his infamous letter to parents that most coaches don’t have the guts to send. They guys talk Jack Rabbit bball, the difficulties of coaching, as well as the new bad boys of sports, Nick Kyrgios and Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett.

Matt Schmidt joins the podcast and talks about living and playing baseball in Arizona, and shares his favorite bartender stories. The guys also chat the Bananas Baseball phenomenon, how good the Avalanche team is and what to do if you get maced on your way to work.

The guys get Bobby’s mom liquored up as she shares incredible stories about raising Bobby on the east side of St. Paul. They also talk Johnny Depp trial, the end of the Minnesota Wild season and Bobby running home in a thong.

J.T. Bernier joins the pod to talk about hopped-up horses, jail breaks, youth hockey… and let’s back off refs, shall we?
