Blue Hens Coaches Show

As the basketball programs approach the final weeks of the season, Coach Ingelsby and Jenkins join the Coaches Show from La Casa Pasta in Newark. Three-point sharpshooters Cavan Reilly and Jewel Smalls are special guests.

A pair of top Assistant Coaches join the show this week as we learn more about Delaware Men's and Women's Basketball from Bill Phillips and Sam Pierce. We find out what it's like to coach the son of a former teammate from Coach Phillips, and you'll be surprised at which NFL Hall of Famer he shared the court with in NBA Summer League! Plus, Ebby Asamoah and Demi Burdick join, as well.

Jameer Nelson, Jr. headlines this edition of the Blue Hens Basketball Coaches Show as he discusses his season and growing up the son of an NBA All-Star and national Player of the Year. Plus Martin Ingelsby, Sarah Jenkins and Makayla Pippin all join for more UD hoops conversation from Main Street in Newark.

The Hens are 7-2 after a big win over Monmouth on Saturday with a Top 25 matchup against Richmond coming up on Senior Day. Coach Carty, Center Brock Gingrich and Safety Noah Plack all join to talk Delaware Football.

Before the Hens kickoff the final calendar month of the season, Head Coach Ryan Carty stops by Klondike Kate's along with All-American Kedrick Whitehead and starting Running Back Kyron Cumby to talk about the loss at Elon and a chance to bounce back against Monmouth on Saturday.

The Hens are 6-1 on the season and we catch up with Head Coach Ryan Carty after a Homecoming victory vs. Morgan State. Former walk-on and UD's leading receiver on Saturday, Brett Buckman, joins the show along with starting LB Drew Nickles who snagged his 2nd INT of the season last game.

Coming off the Bye Week we take an opportunity to meet some of the new Football Coaching Staff. The Hens are off to a 5-0 start! Coach Carty discusses Saturday's rivalry victory over Towson and looks ahead to a big Top 25 matchup in Williamsburg this weekend. UD's leading receiver last game, Jourdan Townsend and shutdown Cornerback, Justis Henley join "Voice of the Blue Hens" Scott Klatzkin, as well.

The Hens are off to a 4-0 start and Coach Carty, OL Stevon Brown and DL Anthony Toro all join the show from Klondike Kate's to discuss the team's dominant performance over Hampton and prepare for a rivalry game against Towson in front of a Sold Out crowd on Saturday.

New Head Coach, Ryan Carty, previews his 2022 team in the first episode of the Blue Hens Football Coaches Show of the season. Coach breaks down each position group on Offense, Defense and Special Teams and previews the opening week opponent, Navy.

In the final stretch of the regular season, both the Men's and Women's teams are closing in on 20-win campaigns. Martin Ingelsby and Natasha Adair update us on their squads and Seniors Kevin Anderson and Lizzie O'Leary chat with us prior to their final home games at the Bob Carpenter Center.

Fresh off a 52-point performance on Friday Night, Women's Basketball standout Jasmine Dickey joins the program along with Men's Basketball's all-time leading three point shooter, Ryan Allen. Both Delaware greats join their coaches Martin Ingelsby and Natasha Adair on this week's episode.

Coaches Martin Ingelsby and Natasha Adair join the show to close out the month of January and discuss their team's seasons thus far. The Men's team had a game suspended last week and we'll find out the details from that night at Towson, and Women's Basketball has won 7 of 8 in league play! Plus, we'll be joined by Ebby Asamoah and Paris McBride.

A congratulations to Coach Adair on win 150 in her career is part of this week's show that also includes a talk with Coach Ingelsby as his team comes back from a COVID week off. We'll also hear from two players with fathers that played in the NBA - Jameer Nelson Jr. and Ty Battle.
