We are presented with choices every day. We choose what to wear in the mornings. We choose what we are going to eat. We even choose what sports team to cheer for during a particular season. Here's the thing, God gave us a choice to choose life or death. We have been given the gift of free will. We don't have to choose Jesus. We don't have to choose to live holy. Psalm 130 is one of the many Psalms I love. I hope that as we go through the verses of this psalm you grow to love it as much as I do. It is a psalm of ascent which means that it goes from the anguish of the psalmist's soul crying for help to the assurance that we can put our trust in the Lord as we wait on Him to move on our behalf. It's one thing to know that when the Lord tells you to move you can rest assure that everything you need for the assignment will be provided for you. However, there are many people who move without having their last position filled. God is not the author of confusion. Everything is done decently, and in order.
