Today's soundscape was recorded at the seaside, at the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour, on the pebble beach which is accessed through the historic city walls. It's not a well-known spot. Unless you happen to live there, it's a well-kept secret from many tourists. I wanted to capture the atmosphere of a busy coffee shop, complete with the sounds of coffee making, and people chatting over a beverage. Yesterday here in the UK we were told the sad new of the passing of Queen Elizbeth the 2nd, and today she's been honoured with 96 gun salutes from the british armed forces across the country.
