I. Jacob's blessing of Judah speaks of Christ. II. Christ is Shiloh. III. Shiloh means rest. IV. Shiloh means Peace. V. Shiloh means Sent. VI. Shiloh means Son. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God sent to redeem bringing rest and peace to weary sinful man!

In the second half of Galatians 5 we find the contrast between works v fruit, and flesh v Spirit. We are to live and walk in the Spirit, and display Christlike character.

I. You'll find Jesus where mercy is needed. II. The illustration of man's religion. III. Don't go halfway for Jesus IV. Jesus is the only way to get your deepest need met.

In 2 Kings 4 - we find a woman stricken by tragedy whose mishap came with a message, and a purpose in it.

Paul charges Christians to stand in the liberty and freedom of Christ. The law profits nothing, and keeping any portion of it for justification yokes us to the whole thing. The law is fulfilled by loving our neighbor.

I. The marvelous works of Christ (His teachings, works, power, and miracles) II. A testimony brings others to Jesus. III. The fields are ready for harvest. IV. The pattern of faith displayed (believe in the work done for others, believe He can do a work, believe in His Word when it's spoken)

I. Chapter 12 - The boundaries of Israel according to the Bible are not the same as their boundaries according to the Word. II. Chapter 13 - when spiritual leadership ages there's still much work to do, III. Chapter 14 - Caleb wholly followed the Lord and received his final victory the same way he received his first "through faith" and the strength of God.

In these verses we find the contrast between law and grace, and the introduction of the war between flesh and spirit.

I. Jesus avoided division; II. Jesus turned from a Jewish region to a Gentile one with the Gospel; III. Jesus came to the well (a divine appointment) IV. The pattern of the Gospel confirmed; and, V. Fugitive soul is converted.

God proves His faithfulness 31 times. Israel's enemies have them outnumbered. God said fear not and also wait. Joshua left nothing undone that the Lord commanded.

Paul addresses the law as the tool God used to school us and govern us but only until the time set forth when Christ came and redeemed us, making us the children of God and heirs to the inheritance in the kingdom.

I. A man receives nothing, except it be given him from heaven. II. Will you rejoice when the Bridegroom cometh? III. He must increase, I must decrease. IV. Christ is above all! V. He that believeth not shall not see life.

The Gibeonites put themselves in harms way when they entered into relationship with God's people by deception. God performed two miracles in giving victory. The strength to keep fighting comes from the Lord.

This week's devotional we look at the relationship between the law, the promises to Abraham, Christ (the seed that should come), and the believer.

In Joshua 9 God's people faced both obvious opposition, and deceptive opposition. We are to seek wisdom from God and choose our relationships wisely.

Galatians 3:1-12 - A Christian returning to works of the flesh to please God has returned to the curse of the Law already broken by the perfect, finished works of Christ at Calvary.

The division between the Jews and Gentile believers was brought into unity through one commonality - all mankind can only be justified with God through faith in Jesus Christ!

In Joshua 7 we find the dangers of sin in the camp. They lost their victory, and were overconfident. We learn not to trust in our own strength, and that failure is often followed by discouragement.

Paul's Gospel given stamp of approval by the other Apostles to go to the Gentiles. Peter to the Jews. Paul charges Peter not to withdraw from Gentile believers doing so causes them to be mistreated.

The walls of Jericho come down. In Joshua 6 we learn to keep our eyes on God not the challenge. Our victories come by faith not force.

If you're going to follow Christ people are going to talk about you. If you're going to follow Christ they will try to hinder you. Just keep pressing for the Lord will help you through!

In Joshua 5 - the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (God's people are not governed by ordinary measures of war but by the direction of God.) 1. A new circumcision, 2. The manna ceased 3. Joshua met the Lord
