We see that when we pray for daily bread we are choosing to trust Jesus as the one who provides for us. And when we pray, we are to ask people for help and help others, be grateful for what we have, and admit our needs to God.

Jesus was the one who personalized our relationship with God by teaching us to pray to God as Father. How amazing that we can speak to and hear from our Heavenly Father!

Many people struggle with feeling inadequate about their prayer life. The disciples must have felt that too, because as they saw Jesus pray in a way that really mattered, they said, “Lord, teach us to pray.” Can we learn with them?

Every Sunday we celebrate that Jesus has risen from the grave, conquering death and securing our salvation through his sacrifice and triumph. And just as the first ones to encounter the empty tomb did, we get to choose how we will respond.

The Sermon on the Mount ends with a warning and an invitation – a warning that some religious people won’t be saved, and an invitation to experience real, eternal, worthwhile living through a friendship with Jesus. Do you know Jesus, and does Jesus know you?

Jesus' teaching preserves the order and justice of God's laws, but shows that keeping the law won't save us - only faith in him does that.

Jesus illustrates the identity and function of a disciple with metaphors of salt and light. We play an important role in our world as we live out kingdom values and communicate the good news of Jesus. As we walk in this identity, God receives much glory.

The disciple of Jesus has chosen – volunteered – to live in a way that agrees with God’s priorities now, so they can enjoy God’s blessings always.

Swarmed by miracle-seeking crowds, Jesus did more than fix people - he taught them to fill their life. Do you want to be fixed or filled by the Lord?

In the early church, the faithful boldness of many ordinary believers led to a rapid spread of the gospel. What part can we play in the multiplication of the Good News through our church to the world?

A fully alive church is one that pursues unity. Unity happens when we choose humility, kindness, patience and forebearance, and when each one is encouraged to function in God’s calling and gifting on their life.

As Christians, we are to be fully alive and make Christ Jesus known. Looking into 2017, how will we be the display of God’s grace and kindness through our lives and through our church?

Every person who encountered the newborn Jesus praised God or even worshiped Jesus himself. What is worship and why does Jesus deserve it?

The wise person will build their life on the foundation of hearing and obeying the words of Jesus, so that we can withstand life's inevitable storms.

As we follow Jesus, we can do so with no hearing impairment - he speaks, and if we are willing to learn how, we can hear what he says.

God sent Jesus as one of us – a human, a child, a son – born to a virgin and placed in the manger. But the multiple names and titles of Jesus tell the true story. Who is Jesus to you?

Every believer in Christ must be ready to follow him, no matter what, and to remember those who are suffering for their faith. Even when we are surrounded by those who reject the truth in favor of feel-good messages, we can be clear-minded and always ready to share the gospel, for Jesus is coming soon as Judge and King.
