In today's passage of Scripture we see that as followers of Jesus we are called to do good in three spheres: society, the workplace, and for those of us who are married, in our marriages. We are called to be good citizens, good servants, and good spouses for God's glory! We are commanded to do good for God’s glory

Who is Jesus? Is He your cornerstone? We see in this text that Jesus is quite the divisive figure – as He is the cornerstone on which you build your life and God will build His Church – or He is a stumbling block to those who don’t receive His Word. God calls each of us to continue to grow into spiritual maturity.

We are called to live differently than the world. God calls us out of darkness and into His marvelous light as His children. In what ways is your life distinct? Are you a picture of God's holiness in a dark world?

Do you realize the extent of the mercy you can receive through Christ? Because of God’s great mercy, we can endure trials with a joyful hope! Even the greatest trials of life can be endured because of His great love and mercy for us that grants us a living hope.

A step doesn’t seem like very much, does it?  But taking small steps consistently over time will take you far.  And, we don’t walk alone. God calls us to take steps together in authentic Biblical community. Who are you doing life with? We are called to grow in grace and truth together.

Are you enjoying God? This is why you were created! You were made to know God, glorify Him, and enjoy Him forever! Jesus' prayer is that you may know Him and His joy! 

In Philippians 3:1-9, Paul shares his impressive resumé of law-keeping but declares it worthless compared to knowing Christ. He emphasizes that true righteousness comes not from our works but through faith in Jesus. Abandon Your Resume Embrace Your Relationship Run the Race

In Philippians 2 we see the benefits we have because Jesus was born on that first Christmas morning. The reality of the incarnation should change every part of our lives, especially our relationships. Life is better, and God is glorified when we are enjoying Him together. Who are you enjoying God with?

What is your life's purpose? What are you living for? We need to read and follow the instructions that Jesus left us to make disciples who make disciples. What is your next step?

This Christmas, remember that finding real peace comes through the greatest gift ever given, and we can share that gift with others. Jesus is the gift that changed history, because He bought our peace with God the Father forever!

Do you see anything special in Jesus, or is He easily forgettable? Do you see Him as a good teacher, a moral example, but not God in flesh? Does Jesus present a threat to the way you have set up your personal kingdom? Jesus reveals Himself as King; don’t mistake His identity.

A proper understanding of our own desperation leads to coming to Jesus for the right reasons. Today, we are going to look at five different ways people approached Jesus and learn to approach Him in the right way.

Is your life different? We are called to be the salt of the earth, to have a distinct flavor. In Mark 9 , Jesus shows us three ways we are supposed to be countercultural. In service, in unity, and being set-apart.
