Beer Me a Movie
Beer Me A Movie
A weekly podcast where two self-proclaimed film nerds talk movies. That's right, another movie podcast. Throughout each episode, we assign point values for different categories to arrive at a final score. Then we surprise our co-host (and our listeners) with the next week's movie. On the last week of every month, we randomly select a film suggestion from our listeners! We never know what we'll be talking about the next week! Shenanigans ensue.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the first collaboration from the Russo Brothers and Markus & McFeely (the team that brought us the conclusion to the Infinity Saga), is one of the highlights of the MCU. It's also an outlier in a lot of ways. Join us as we dive deeper into this barely-superpowered espionage/political thriller with twists around every corner. Seriously. So many twists. Join Audi...

This week in the Fortress of Poditude, we dive deeper into the DCEU to answer the age-old schoolyard question: Who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman? We really get into this one, and decide once and for all if this movie (and Ben Affleck) deserve all the hate they receive. *Superman®, Batman® and their associated titles, logos, and characters are registered trademarks of DC Comics. Caped Podcasters #46 - Hancock (2008) 29.09.2019 59:14
It's the final pick of UBU September, and boy did the listeners choose a doozy with this one. It's Hancock, the 2008 Will Smith antihero summer blockbuster that had a solid premise and that's about it. Listen in as we try to find something redeeming about this movie, other than Jason Bateman. *Hancock® and its associated titles, logos, and characters are registered trademarks of Columbia Pictures...
Caped Podcasters #45 - Thor: The Dark World (2013) 22.09.2019 1:08:55
Well it had to happen eventually. This week, we're talking MCU, but not in a happy "Hey! We're talking MCU!" kind of way. Because this week is Thor: The Dark World. And our world is a little darker now, since Feige and the Russos decided to make this one matter as much as it does. *Thor® and its associated titles, logos, and characters are registered trademarks of Marvel Entertainment LLC. It's week 3 of UBU September and you chose James Gunn's "Super," which follows Rainn Wilson in another one of those real-person-becomes-a-superhero movies. A genre we've hopefully exhausted now. Caped Podcasters #38 - Mystery Men (1999) 04.08.2019 54:43
The year is 1999 and people are experiencing superhero fatigue. There've been something like 4 Batman movies, after all. This trend can't continue for long, so clearly it's time for a parody. Enter: Mystery Men. A movie with a rock-solid premise that never figures out what to do with it. Insert fart joke here. *Mystery Men® and its associated titles, logos, and characters are registered trademarks...

The time has come to wrap up Batmonth, and what better way than with the most fun, self-aware, in-jokey Batman movie that exists? We also go on a quick MCU Phase 4 and DC Crisis on Infinite Earths tangent. *Batman® and its associated titles, logos, and characters are registered trademarks of DC Co...

It's Just Kevin joins us again this week while we discuss the good and the bad of the trilogy's finale. *Batman® and its associated titles, logos, and characters are regi...

Caped Podcasters #31 - Aquaman (2018) 16.06.2019 1:20:04
This week we're heading underwater to talk to some fish about James Wan's Aquaman. This 2018 Jason Momoa-led surprise hit proves that DC might still have a few tricks up its sleeves, and that maybe (just maybe) Aquaman is more than the superhero equivalent of a really good meme. *Aquaman® and its associated titles, logos, and characters are registered trademarks of DC Comics. This production is not sponsore...
