 Luke 14:11 says, “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” The promises of God toward the truly humble are almost breathtaking.

Have you ever asked God the question, "Where are You, Lord?" Did it seem that God was not there during those difficult times in your life?

Scripture tells us, that Jesus’s name is far above any other name given among men. “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name ” (Philippians 2:9).

When a spouse dies,  the loss of a child, a parent or sibling, how do I handle my grief?

"God, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in You" a prayer by Augustine.

Conflict can certainly ignite fiery passions within us. Our tongues are a restless evil, full of deadly poison. When that happens, our words become the primary weapon we use to “Bite and Devour One Another.”

The "Woman at the Well" did not deserve respect or God's grace. She was rejected by the culture and people around her but accepted by Jesus. Her faith made her whole. 

This episode is about "The Ten Commandments," or, as some scholars call them, the Ten Words. We will discuss the eighth commandment: "Thou Shall Not Steal" specifically.

There can be some differences between having guilty feelings and true guilt. We need to know what to do with our guilt.

Grace Martens is my wonderful granddaughter. Recently, Grace went on a short-term mission trip to Cuba with her father and three other team members. We will discuss what she experienced in Cuba and their great need for Christ there.

The Book of Ruth is a beautiful work of theological art. It invites us to reflect on how God is involved in our daily joys and hardships.

Our goal is to give hope and encouragement to those going through life’s struggles and hardships. We want to encourage you through two very different stages in life.

In this podcast, I will share with you a part of my life that is extremely difficult to talk about, but I felt that if it would be helpful to SOMEONE struggling with spousal abuse, it would be worth it.

Our goal here on “Because of Grace” is to point you to Christ, our only "hope" for salvation, and to rest in Him and His extraordinary gift of eternal life. 

Training children is no easy task, but Scripture teaches us to train and prepare them for this life  and the life to come .

Prayer is not a weapon, but the power behind the armor of God. The armor protects us from the evil one and all his dominions coming against us. 

Pastor Matt Emadi will discuss the biblical meaning behind what the Scripture calls the Helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

The Shield of Faith is not blind faith, or a leap of faith, but the evidence of faith found in Christ.

We are all in danger of the Evil one, and we are to put on the whole armor of God. Part of that entire armor is the shoes of the Gospel of peace.

"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness” (Ephesians 6:13,14).

Where do we learn truth? We learn truth from the Word of God. Stand firm, putting on the BELT OF TRUTH–– the truth of the Gospel. Ephesians 4:21 says that, “the truth is in Jesus.”

“Surviving Persecution,”  is probably a subject you don’t think about much or want to focus on for very long. But, it is a concern for many people in our world today. 

The Good Shepherd gives strength in our weakness and gently leads us through every trying time. We don’t have to continue in hopelessness or despair because His grace is abundant, and His power immeasurable.
