The next-door neighbor of Isaac notices that, "the Lord has been with you" and that "You are now the blessed of the Lord." Good for him in the noticing. When we ask something of the Lord, we rely on His history with us.  We remember what we know of God to help us in our posture before Him. When we ask for the Lord to PROSPER us in some way, we are asking that He come from THERE and help us HERE. Our petition relies upon the recollection of the previous revelation of God. God's HISTORY yesterday helps us when we ask for His PRESENCE today.

The Lord prospers a prepared petition. He responds to His prepared, faithful, expectant, humble people sincerely inquiring of Him.  He loves people that are in a hurry to be obedient. You have got a big decision before you.  How do you figure out what God wants? God separates distinctively the family line of Isaac.  It ultimately leads to Jesus. We are to be CASTING OURSELVES in trust upon it.  There is no plan B.
