Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela is going to need at least three months to recover from surgery. Gio had a bone spur removed and is expected to be back before the regular season begins, but this is the Yankees we're talking about, so in this episode I give the rundown. We also discuss some potential relief pitcher signings that may be on Brian Cashman's radar.

Today was Wednesday, December 2nd. It was the non-tender deadline. Some teams made some cuts, including the Yankees who let Jonathan Holder go. But the Yankees also kept Gary Sánchez, along with Luis Cessa. In this episode I briefly give my take on the controversial decision to keep Gary around.

With the 2020 NBA Draft next Wednesday on November 18th, teams are starting to make their final preparations. The Knicks, who have three draft picks this year, have been linked with a number of names but it's the player they take at No. 8 that could define their future. Do they go for fit, talent, both, or throw some kind of curveball with a trade?

It's officially the offseason. With an unpredictable market, it's going to be interesting to see where players like Trevor Bauer, Francisco Lindor, DJ LeMahieu, Michael Brantley and many more end up. The Yankees of course, are suiters for any big name who hits the market. Will they strike heavy again this winter like the last? Maybe they even get rid of some of their own?

Promising youngster Mitchell Robinson is heading into his third season but will also be playing under his third head coach. Meanwhile, the Knicks have been intrigued by many draft prospects over the last several months; RJ Hampton being one of the first to interest them. The Knicks have reportedly been taking a look at BYU prospect Yoeli Childs. A forward, Child brings size & versatility to the NBA with him. Do the Knicks decide to select Childs it would likely be in the second round, but he is also projected to be undrafted.
