Jubilee was a year of freedom of sins forgiven, slaves set free, and restoration of inheritance, and it finds its fulfillment in Jesus.

Jesus is both the real Master of the Banquet, and our true bridegroom who comes to pour out his blood so we can enjoy the wedding feast of the lamb and eternal joy with God. John 2:1-11

All Christians are commissioned by Jesus to be involved in the worldwide mission of evangelism and discipleship. Matthew 28:18-20

The Gospel is not only rationally true - it addresses our deepest human longings and points us to true joy and rest. Revelation 21:1-5

The most important promises of the Christian faith depend first on whether the claims made by Jesus about His own identity are true, and second how we respond to those claims. John 8:31-36; 51-59

Every human sins and fails to live up to God’s righteous standards, but the Gospel offers forgiveness to those who confront this fact and openly confess and repent of sin. Matthew 23:1-13

Present-day questions about sexuality should be viewed in light of God’s original design (creation), our sinful hearts and corrupt desires (the fall), Christ’s person and work (redemption), and our ultimate end (consummation). Revelation 19:6-9

Evil and suffering are the real consequences of human sin, but our Good, Sovereign God will overcome them through Christ, to bring eternal blessing and joy to all Who love Him. Romans 8:18-25

The Question of the Resurrection There is strong historical evidence pointing to the fact that Jesus died and was physically raised from the dead on the third day. 1 Corinthians 15:1-11

Lust is a disordered love that excessively craves my own sexual pleasure, desiring it more than true intimacy with God or others. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8

Gluttony is a disordered love that excessively craves food and drink, attempting to fill spiritual hunger with material fare. John 6:26-29

Greed is a disordered love that excessively craves created goods and possessions, desiring them more than the Creator Himself. Hebrews 13:5-6

Sloth is a disordered love that that does not desire God, His works, or the vocations He has given me, but finds them boring, refusing the effort to love and serve God and others. Proverbs 26:13-15

Wrath is a disordered love that desires justice to be enacted in my time, manner, and degree rather than in God’s. James 1:19-20

Envy is a disordered love that is dissatisfied with the lack or perceived insufficient measure of gifts and vocations given by God, and which resents another person for the presence or greater measure of those same gifts. Proverbs 14:30

Pride is a disordered love that seeks to exalt myself above God and His will for my life, refusing to accept my God given limitations. Proverbs 16:18

In our struggle against sin, it is important that we learn to cut the root vices that feed sin, and to practice habits that encourage virtues that feed godly character. Proverbs 5:21-23

We are living stones being built into a spiritual house where we can access God directly, shine light in a dark world, and be empowered to serve and love even in the midst of the world’s rejection thanks to God’s grace. 1 Peter 2:4-10
