God is a God who keeps His promises. And the promise of the Christmas story actually begins in Genesis 3:15.

Nothing in the Bible is there by mistake. Everything has a purpose and a lesson for us. In Paul's final words to Titus, we see a summary of what we are called to be in our city, in the church, and in our world.

If we want to set straight what is crooked, we must have the correct starting point - which is the message of Salvation - the gospel.

The Christian faith not only tells us what needs to change, but how it changes us, and the answer is grace.

Paul has talked to Titus for a while about how people watch our lives to see if they align with our beliefs. This is also played out in the workplace. We need to pay attention to the way we act in the workplace.

People on Crete were lost and dying, and some bought into a false gospel. But Paul instructs Titus on how a healthy church should function to show the world the power and joy of salvation.

Counterfeits work so well because they can mimic the real thing. Paul shows us how we can detect counterfeits and how to respond to them.

All of us, whether we like it or not, whether we realize it or not, are leading some and leaving an example for others to follow. The question is, is the example worth following?

Titus is a letter written by Paul encouraging Titus to address disorder in the Church at Crete. In Paul’s opening greeting he makes a few statements that are key to hold onto as we study through the rest of the book.

Luke 12 is a chapter within a broader message called the “Gospel of Luke.” What we’ll see today is that there is a common theme that ties all of chapter 12 together within this Gospel to make a point about Jesus that has purpose for the whole Gospel message itself.

An eternal perspective is a good thing because it is rooted in our expectation of our future home with Jesus. However, we shouldn’t allow that to make us too comfortable. Jesus teaches us that, ultimately, an eternal perspective really should affect our present behavior.

Money, it's a cause of stress and anxiety for most of us. Whether we think about it often or just sometimes, we all worry about it in some way. In this passage, Jesus comforts us and then calls us to live in light of His Kingdom when it comes to our cash.

For many of us, we have a wrong perspective on money. So Jesus tells us a story on how to have the right perspective on our money.

In an ever-changing world, we need to make sure we have the right perspective on things.

A workless faith is a worthless faith.

James ends his letter with a huge challenge for us as believers, to rescue wandering believers and lead them back to the truth.

We all hate waiting, especially when we are going through painful seasons. But the call from James is to be patient like the farmer, the prophets and Job and wait like them for the return of Jesus.

James 5 opens up with some graphic language about the rich. But don't tune out because the rich is us. The truth is that our money tells us where our heart is. And James reminds us here to fight against materialism.

As we continue through the book of James, we see what it means to submit our life to God's Will, and we see why it is dangerous to presume on God.
