ARTIST TO ARTIST: LET'S TALK

In this episode I deal with how we sometime don't bask in our own sun. There are two episode of this same theme 'Looking for the applaud' and 'Finding your sun,' I am in these episode dealing with our some times fragil ego and how we must nourish that ego, with relishing in our own creative and finaincial acheivement, no mater how small or large.

This epsode is just a friendly reminder to us artits, yes it's ok to groove in your own sun, just like it's ok to give yourself an applause. Just as long as you don't become a megamaniac about it, but glowing in your sun is often times what gets you through to the next sun.

Though this is not a praise poem for President Biden and Vice-President Harris, it is however sort of a gratitude piece. The artistic profession is for a lack of a better word fickle, because the nature of the profession itself is at times a matter of "luck." It is fickle because one never knows weher or if that break will ever come, yet artists still put themselves through much agony, only so when they achieve they can feel the pleasure of victory. As artist we often are unable to put a price on our work. Since America doesn't value art, we artist have a hard time putting a money value to what we do. A friend once wanted the caterer he was working for to lessen the price of the food, the caterer respsonded he couldn't do that, because it would cheapen the food. Reality verses fantasy, this is our dilemma many times, We love the creative expression and how it makes others and us feel, when we are within the throws of it. However reality kicks in just like in the film 'Tootsie', where George is explaining to Michael the reality that we live in the everyday world, you know the one where rent, food etc. and othe essentials are needed to live.

How we as artist discovers our own unique voice and what we do wit it. Yet at the sametime how we can debilitate ourselves with jargons and methods, that we can stifle the ability for our creativity to flow. We have to again rediscover our creative voice.

What is talent, that is the question who has it and who doesn't. How do we measure talent, versus technique, are we born with it or can we gain it through craftmenship. Talent is charisma or is it just "talent" that you might naturally posses or that you have trained for it that it now because second nature to you. How does one discover talent.

Discussing what and how art effects on in our mundane existence. How we benifit from the creative expression, and what we as artist do to make life a little bit more enjoyable, whether it be through music, film, books or paintings. We as artist brings life into the hearts and minds of people.
