Arrows Church Value #1. At Arrows Church, we fight against isolation by being together. We don’t want to simply live in proximity with others, we want to do life together and point each other to Jesus. This shared life is where those faces in the crowd become friends in community.  Need Prayer? 

Baptism has so much confusion tied to it due to a mixing of religious and denominational experiences. Who should be baptized? When should we be baptized? How should we baptize? Is baptism just a symbol or does it have a deeper spiritual meaning? All important questions to wrestle with as we look at what the Bible says and doesn't say about baptism.  Need Prayer? 

As it turns out we were never going to be able to meet the incredibly high expectations set forth by the Ten Commandments. But the good news is Jesus already met the demands of the Ten Commandments.  What God expects and what the Tenth Commandment requires of us is to trade our comparison  with contentment.  Need Prayer? 

Most have been lied to, many have been lied about, everyone has lied in some form or fashion. Most people brush over the 8th Commandment because most people don't make it a habit of stealing. But when we realize that stealing is less about what we take from someone and more about what we don't give someone, we see how we are all guilty of stealing from God, from others, and even from ourselves. Not all of us have experienced adultery. Not all of us have experienced divorce. But everyone of us have grabbed ahold of something that God says not to hold on to and have ran with all our might. Can we agree as a people that we just don't know how to rest well? When God gave the Hebrew people the command to rest (Sabbath) He was both giving them something they never experienced in captivity and also protecting them from their own over-crowded calendars. This old commandment is still helpful for us today. Remember the Sabbath, and keep it holy.  Need Prayer? 

We've reduced not taking the Lord's name in vain to simply avoiding curse words... but surely there's more to it than that? As it turns out it's entirely possible to use God's "name" in vain and never even say a word. This week we take a look at the Third Commandment.  Need Prayer? 

Worship is what we do. Worship is who we are. We were created by God to worship and we worship well. Yet many times our worship is misplaced and aimed at things that are not God like sports, money, stuff, status, etc. This sermon helps us identify our idols and realign our worship to its intended audience... God never wastes words. Everything that God has said can benefit anyone who is willing to listen. Even though the Ten Commandments were spoken and written by God so many years ago, they can very much teach us how to live today.
