James 1:19–27 reminds us that hearing God’s Word  isn’t enough, we have to live it. Just like it’s crazy to look in a  mirror, see toothpaste on your shirt, and walk away, it’s just as  crazy to hear the Word and do nothing with it. In James 1:13–18, we learn that temptation doesn’t come from God, it starts with our own desires and can lead us into sin and destruction if we’re not careful.
