URGENT message from Division of Agriculture entomologists who are seeing significant numbers of stinkbugs poised to raid early rice when heading begins; urge growers to avoid making applications too early.  Be on the lookout for corn borers, fall armyworm in beans, plant bugs in cotton and midge in sorghum. 

Dr. Larry Steckel with the University of Tennessee joins Dr. Jason Norsworthy to talk about Palmer amaranth research and what he is seeing in regards to Palmer amaranth control in Tennessee.  Some of the options being evaluated for control are discussed along with successes and failures of these measures.
