We were created for affection, created to receive from and worship our Heavenly Father and to give and receive to others in our community. Satan and sin hinder our affection, but how do we move forward into what God has for us? The future of our church will depend on where our affection primarily and consistently lies. Will we love one another as Jesus has loved us?

What if true comfort was just as much about giving as it was receiving? What if we have settled for lesser comforts all along while the true comfort waits for us, ready and able to help us in every season? Listen in as Pastor Allen exhorts Anthem Church to walk alongside the God of all comfort in the years to come.

What are the marks of a healthy transition? How do we face the real emotions tied to change while still moving forward into what God is doing? In this time, we can up and leave, lash out, lean away, or lean into what God is doing; listen in as Pastor Allen exhorts us to the latter option to the glory of God.

Pastor Allen is moving out of God's way in this new season, for a new leader, so God can do a new thing.

As we begin to consider what endemic life might look like, we as the church must begin to ask ourselves how we are to be faithful stewards of this new season. What does it look like to be participatory members of a healthy local church?

When life is hard, sometimes instead of fixing things we need to instead simply meditate on what God has done for us in Christ. What has he given us? Listen in as we examine this beautiful inheritance we have been freely given by the grace of God in Jesus.

The New Year is upon us, so… what now? To what hope do we attach ourselves in a new year? Can Christ really be the durable, trustworthy, ultimately good anchor we need him to be? This year, accept the gift of Christ fully - return to your first love, and in all resolutions, resolve first to abide in the true vine.

Is Christmas a carnival or festival for you? You'll be surprised at how the difference between these two changes everything.

We place hope in this world; it is natural for us as those who were created to hope. But when that expectancy fails us, is there a deeper hope that will anchor and sustain us?

At long last, Joseph is reunited with his brothers in forgiveness and reconciliation. What can this moment teach us about God’s posture towards us in Christ? May we answer his call to come near and to dwell with him.

Joseph’s brothers approach him with fear, uncertainty, and doubt, unsure of what will meet them. They are surprised, amazed even, at the grace, mercy, and feasting they find instead of the wrath they were sure would meet them. How do we approach the throne of grace? In uncertainty or with confidence?

As the famine descends up on the land, Jacob sends his sons to Egypt to obtain grain. When they reach their destination, their lives and hearts are confronted, revealing hearts still racked with guilt and shame. The famine without presses in and reveals their famine within. When life does the same to us, will we turn to the one who truly satisfies?

What is God saying to you in this season? Can you even hear His voice? Would you recognize it if you could? Pastor Allen examines the Bible's framework for hearing the voice of God through a very simple grid.

Is there hope, purpose, and joy for us in Jesus, even in our stuck seasons?

Our hearts all long for glory, and we seek it any way we can find it. The question is simply this: do we seek the imperishable or the fading glory?
