Episode 227: We are coming on the final stretches of our Decade Spotlight series in getting hype for our Anime of the Decade episode! Today we look at Barakamon from 2014.  This slice of life is hilarious, easy to watch, and decently animated. We talk about our favorite moments and if it will make it on our Decade list!

Lots of movie news! We talk about The Maxx adaptation, Disney+, Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, and more. Some video game news includes a new Symphogear smartphone game, SFV: Champion Edition, ArcReco, and Guilt Gear Strive.  In anime we got some Winter hype including Arte, Pet, and much more!

Episode 226: Here it is. Anime Summit's Review of Akira. Joining us is one of Som's best friends and film addict, JP.  We go through the film and talk about its many achievements while also discussing some of its developing process.  We try to break down the themes of greed, corruption, spirituality, and many other wonders this amazing and timeless classic gave us.  

A lot of tiny nothings happen this week. Romantic opportunities are missed, multiple dates happen, but still nobody has kissed!!!!

On this newscast we got some BIG video game news and rumors, new Sonic trailer, new Mass Effect and new SOCOM! Also we got some more 2020 anime hype, a new idol anime, final arc of Vinland Saga has begun being drawn, and a opinion question for Pokemon Sword and Shield!

Episode 225: Second batch of Fall 1st Impressions! In this episode we talk about SAO: Alicization War of The Underworld, Cautious Hero, Assassins Pride, Beastars, After School Dice Club, Didnt I say to make my abilities average in the next life?, Stars Align, Ascendence of a Bookworm, and Blade of the Immortal.

Today on the news we talk about Blizzards upcoming titles some more, Into the Spiderverse Hype, new Guilty Gear trailer, and more. For Anime we talk about some 2020 anime and 2021 anime hype, Dengeki Bunkos new cross over mobile game, and a history report on Anime cutscenes in games.

Episode 224: Fall is here and a couple of weeks in and we are ready to give our first impressions of the first batch of shows. In this episode we talk about My Hero Academia S4, Food Wars 4th Plate, ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me?, No Guns Life, Kemono Michi: Rise Up, CHOYOYU!: High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!, Ahiru No Sora, and Babylon.

We are in November! Fall season has started so there is not too much hype but we do have big news from Blizzcon and we also talk about a teaser for Into The Spiderverse 2 and also the Academy awards changing rules to allow more anime films to be submitted for nominations. At the end Som talks about Blizzard apologizing for their reaction to Blitzchung.  

Episode 223: For the first anime of 2014, in our Decade Spotlight, we review Ping Pong The Animation.  Directed by Masaaki Yuasa and based on the manga from the 90's by Taiyou Matsumoto.  A great visual spectacle and character driven story arc told with the setting of Ping Pong.

Damn these passive Boys! These girls put their hearts on the line, and for what? So these no good boys can lounge around and act like the girls' presence is a guaranteed thing?! Damn them!! Let's go on a romance strike!!! Who's with me?!?
