Bad things happen. We try to make sense of it. We try to keep ourselves encouraged. We try to ignore the pain of it. We try to spin it into something that doesn't hurt so bad. But, sometimes it just feels like God has forgotten us. Do we need to dull the pain, or is it better to lean into it and get through it? Psalm 74 You're not the only person to ever feel forgotten by God.

We all have things that we try to hide. We are all familiar with embarassment. We think we need to keep them secret because if people knew about them, they wouldn't want us anymore. Well, nothingis hidden from God. He knows all your secrets, and He still loves you. Psalm 139 God know everything about you and He still wants you.

When we face surprises, doubts and fears it can easily throw us into a panic. But when you call someone trying to figure out how to fix all that's gone wrong and they say, "hey, oh we already took care of that, it's all done," there is an incredible amount of relief that can wash over you. What God shows us in Psalm 22 is that God is way ahead of us, and He has already done what needs to be done....

It is so easy to get lost in the trials and the complications of life. We end up down paths we don't want to go and make bad decisions, but all the time don't really know what else we are supposed to do. That's not what God wants for us though. God wants to show us the path forward, and I believe He has. Psalm 119 To stay on the path of life you need the Word of God.

We all have dreams for our lives and for our world, but it seems like the bad guys are always winning. How do we take it back? How do we change the world? How do we make a difference?
