Balloon update April 25 2019 26.04.2019

Update on our high altitude balloon.  We have traveled over 14000 miles but hit some big storms off the coast of Japan.  it was going up and down.  We have lost contact with it through aprs at this time so we dont know if its still up or down.  We will have to wait 3 days until it gets near Hawaii to see if the aprs station there picks it up.

The weather has cleared a little today and we launched a test balloon.  Its designed to stay up only about 21 days but it should circle the earth.   We hope in the next couple weeks to launch our real high altitude balloon.  It could stay up for a year.
